“ZAL AND THE PHOENIX” 2019-2021

ZAL AND THE PHOENIX is an enchanting fantasy story of acceptance and friendship, an adaptation by the international conductor Mark Stephenson of a tale from Ferdowsi’s 1000 year-old Shahnameh (“Book of Kings”), intended for children and families around the world.

The fantasy story adaptation is being translated into eight languages (including Persian) as an illustrated book; as an animation film with original music soundtrack score; and as a theatrical production for live music screenings at leading concert venues around the world.
